Online System for Receiving Consumer Complaints and Requests Launched

           The Energy Regulatory Commission of Mongolia has introduced a new online system — https://consumer.energy.mn — to facilitate the submission and resolution of consumer requests and complaints. With the introduction of this platform, it has become easier and more transparent for consumers to file complaints to their energy supply companies, while ensuring that such requests and claims are registered and resolved quickly and efficiently.

         Consumers may submit claims and complaints related to electricity and heat supply directly to their contracted energy supply company for resolution. If the consumer disagrees with the supplier’s decision, or if the supplier fails to resolve the matter, the Energy Regulatory Commission will receive the application electronically and oversee its resolution, in accordance with Article 35.2 of the Energy Law of Mongolia.

          Through this system, a more favorable environment is created for ensuring timely, transparent, and accountable resolution of consumer complaints and for strengthening regulatory oversight of supplier performance.
