Pursuant to Resolution No. 236 of the Government of Mongolia dated December 31, 2025, in order to ensure regulatory consistency in public service delivery and to support the stability of the business environment, members of the Government, heads of Government agencies, chairpersons of councils, committees, and commissions, as well as Governors at all levels, have been instructed not to increase the prices, tariffs, fees, or charges of any state-provided services to citizens and legal entities during the 2026 fiscal year.
Within the framework of the above resolution, the Energy Regulatory Commission convened on December 31, 2025, and resolved to postpone the effective date of the approved revised heating tariffs for consumers connected to centralized district heating systems until January 1, 2027.
This decision applies to consumers in Ulaanbaatar city; Nalaikh and Baganuur districts; Darkhan soum of Darkhan-Uul province; Bayan-Undur soum of Orkhon province; Kherlen soum of Dornod province; Murun soum of Khuvsgul province; Zamyn-Uud soum of Dornogovi province; Ulaangom soum of Uvs province; Baruun-Urt soum of Sukhbaatar province; Sukhbaatar soum of Selenge province; Jargalant soum of Khovd province; Zuunmod soum of Tuv province; Bulgan soum of Bulgan province; Dalanzadgad soum of Umnugovi province; and Yesonbulag soum of Govi-Altai province.
