Since 2023, the ERC has been implementing the “Use Wisely, Save More” social impact campaign as part of its efforts to raise public awareness on energy conservation and the rational use of energy.
The primary objective of the campaign is to instill a culture of responsible consumption and proper energy-use habits among children and young students, helping them understand and adopt energy-saving behaviors from an early age.
During the 2025–2026 winter peak electricity demand period, the “Use Wisely, Save More” campaign is being organized in three stages among primary school students of general education schools in the Ulaanbaatar.
The first stage was held in November 2025. The second stage is taking place at the district level February 2 - 6. A total of 840 students from 84 schools across the nine districts of the capital are participating in this stage.
Today (February 3, 2026), the second-stage competition for Chingeltei District was held at Secondary School No. 50, where talented students from five selected schools of the district competed. Based on the final scores, Secondary School No. 49 ranked first, Secondary School No. 24 placed second, and Secondary School No. 50 secured third place.
The final stage of the competition is scheduled to be held on February 11.
The second-stage competitions are being supported by electricity and district heating distribution companies. The final, city-level stage of the competition is being supported by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), which is partnering jointly in the organization of the event.
