28 NEWLY TRAINED ENERGY EFFICIENCY MANAGERS HAVE SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THEIR TRAINING

The 21st session for the training of "Energy Efficiency Managers," tasked with implementing the Energy Conservation Law, has been successfully conducted.

In collaboration with the Energy Regulatory Commission and the Power Engineering School of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, the training involved 28 students who completed both classroom and practical sessions, earning the certification of Energy Efficiency Manager. Among the participants were 24 employees from 22 organizations and 4 volunteers.

Given the current energy source challenges, energy efficiency managers play a crucial role in enhancing the economy and efficiency of their respective organizations. Their responsibilities encompass determining energy consumption, metering, conducting energy audits, and, based on audit findings, establishing energy-saving goals and objectives. They develop plans for improving energy efficiency and implement approved initiatives in stages.

As of today, the Energy Regulatory Commission has registered 172 organizations in the energy consumer category, 65 in the construction category, 42 in the energy sector category, totaling 279 consumer organizations. By November 2023, out of the 458 trained energy efficiency managers, approximately 55 percent are actively contributing to enhancing energy savings and efficiency within their organizations.
