New Part-Time Commissioner Appointed to the Energy Regulatory Commission

          By the Order No. 90 of the Prime Minister of Mongolia dated May 21, 2025, and pursuant to Article 8.3 of the Energy Law, as well as the proposal of the “Consumers’ Rights Protection Association,” Enkhjargal Bazarragchaa has been appointed as a part-time commissioner of the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) for a term of two years.

         The newly appointed regulator, B. Enkhjargal, graduated from the School of Electrical Engineering, Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) in 2003 with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and from the Academy of Management in 2013. He is a Certified Consulting Engineer of Mongolia and an Energy Auditor, with 21 years of professional experience in the energy sector.

His professional career includes:

  • 2003–2010: Repair Technician and Turbine Equipment Operator at Thermal Power Plant No. 4 JSC;
  • 2010–2015: Energy Specialist and Analyst at the National Committee for Air Pollution Reduction;
  • 2015–2024: Specialist and Senior Specialist at the Energy Regulatory Commission;

Since December 2024: Senior Analyst at the Working Office of the National Committee for Energy Reform.
