1. “GEGEEN” 15 MW Solar Power Plant
“Naranteeg” LLC has built a 15 MW solar power plant and named it “Gegeen”, in Zamiin-Uud Soum of Dornogovi province and started to supply electricity to the CRIPG after obtaining a generation license on November 22, 2018.
Key numbers of the project:
- Total investment of the project: USD 26.2 million
- Total annual production: 25.1 million kWh
- Amount to inject to the CRIPG: 24.6 million kWh
Expected annual outcomes of the solar power plant:
- Produces amount of electricity that could supply 30 thousand households with electricity by “Gegeen” SPP.
- 33 thousand tonnes of CO2 emission will be avoided.
- 21.4 thousand tonnes of coal consumption will be prevented.
- 202 thousand tonnes of fresh water will be preserved from usage.
2. “Sainshand Wind Park” 55 MW WP
The “Sainshand Salkhin Park” LLC has built a 55 MW wind power plant, in Zamiin-Uud Soum of Dornogovi province and started to supply electricity to the CRIPG after obtaining a generation license on January 17, 2019.
Key numbers of the project:
- Total investment of the project: USD 121.0 million
- Total annual production: 177.4 million kWh
- Amount to inject to the CRIPG: 161.7 million kWh
Expected annual outcomes of the wind power plant:
- Produces amount of electricity that could supply 150 thousand
households with electricity - 200 thousand tonnes of CO2 emmission will be avoided.
- 78.4 thousand tonnes of coal consumption will be prevented.
- A stable power supply will be available in the region.
