The “USE SMART, SAVE BIG” campaign is designed to instill a culture of responsible energy consumption and savings among elementary school students. By promoting awareness and interest in energy-saving practices, the campaign aims to foster positive attitudes towards efficient energy usage.
Organized in collaboration with the Energy Regulatory Commission and the Metropolitan Education Department, the initiative receives support from the USAID "Mongolia Energy Governance Activities".
The campaign commenced on November 13 in the capital, drawing participation from 190,000 students across 163 elementary schools. Their creative contributions of 170 children from 17 schools across 9 districts such as encompassing energy-saving illustrations, sculptures, poems, and household energy calculations, will be evaluated based on creativity, teamwork, and comprehension.
A panel will select winners for five categories, including first, second, and third place, as well as special recognition. Winners will receive prestigious honors, trophies, and cash prizes, while all participants will be awarded a special gift for their ingenuity.
As energy consumers, it's imperative for everyone to adopt efficient energy practices. Instilling the importance of energy conservation from childhood lays the foundation for lifelong habits that benefit both individuals and the planet.
